FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
If you are new to Tradory or curious about data sources and scoring, start here.
- What is Tradory?
- Tradory is an informational service that compiles daily market notes for Korean, US, and crypto markets. It refreshes every day at 08:00 KST and shows scores, charts, filings, and news on one screen.
- Where does the data come from?
- We use public data sources: pykrx for Korean stocks, yfinance for US stocks, pyupbit and CoinGecko for crypto, DART for Korean corporate filings, and Naver for Korean news. Since we combine free sources, updates are not minute-level real time.
- How is it free?
- It is a personal project. We rely on automated ETL, static pages, and the Supabase free tier to keep costs minimal. Optional paid features may appear later, but core information (diary, scores) will stay free.
- Why not provide buy or sell opinions?
- Tradory is an informational service, not a licensed investment advisor. Providing buy/sell calls or price targets would require formal advisory registration in Korea. All content here is informational only — the responsibility for any investment decision lies with you.
- How is the quant score calculated?
- For Korean and US stocks, we score PER, PBR, ROE, debt ratio, profit margin, and growth as sector percentiles, then take a weighted average for a combined Value + Quality score. For crypto, we combine volume momentum, volatility, and recovery into an activity score. Full formulas are on the methodology page.
- How do I receive alerts?
- After signing in, visit Settings to toggle the daily digest email (09:35 KST), watchlist signal alerts, and push notifications. Push works on browsers and mobile, and you can configure quiet hours.
- How does the watchlist work?
- Search instruments on the Watchlist page and add them. Daily score and signal changes are tracked, and when alert channels are on, you receive push or email notifications when signals shift.
- How often does data refresh?
- ETL runs daily at 08:00 KST, refreshing prices, scores, and the market diary. DART filings and Naver news are collected together. Volatility explanations are generated only on days with significant moves.
- Is English supported?
- Yes. Use the /en path or click the 🇺🇸 / 🇰🇷 flag in the header to switch language. Scores, compare, markets, and instrument pages are available in English.
- Is there a mobile app?
- Tradory is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On mobile browsers, tap "Add to Home Screen" to install it like a native app. Native iOS and Android store submission is under consideration.
- How is personal data handled?
- Email, nickname, watchlist, and alert settings are stored in Supabase (EU region). Trade entries are protected by RLS and visible only to you. Deleting your account permanently removes all data. See the privacy policy for details.
- How do I contact you?
- Email jack2013302@gmail.com for any question, bug report, feature request, or data correction. Feedback is always welcome.
